Background
Walter Bosse (1904-1979) was an artist and designer from Vienna. He had already achieved international success with his ceramic figurines in 1925, but later found artistic fulfillment in brass. Based on models from zoos, he created a series of miniature animal figurines from the "black and gold" line.
