About Alphonse Cytère

In 1891, engineer Alphonse Cytère took over the management of the SAPCR company, whose main activity was the production of glazed drainpipes. He developed a new technique for processing a metallic glaze that made the flamed earthenware of Rambervillers famous. He also approached numerous artists from the Nancy School and published their pieces (bases, decorative objects, architectural elements) to diversify his production.
