  • Condition: good - slight creases visible, a clear crease on the right side of the motif and on the right side of the paper was torn (invisible when framed), paper remnants on the back (see photos)

About Meta Plückebaum

Meta Plückebaum (1876 - 1945) was a German animal, flower and portrait painter and graphic artist from Dortmund. She was married to Carl Plückebaum, who was also a well-known artist. They lived in Düsseldorf and worked together in a studio there. Meta Plückebaum painted, drew and etched mainly lovely cat, puppy and flower motifs, which enjoy great popularity to this day - not only in Europe, but also in the United States. In the cat art scene, she is considered the most famous German cat artist of the 20th century. Especially her cat etchings and paintings are considered popular collector's items.
