About BeYoona
BeYoona is run by Dutch graphic designer Johanna Baptist. In 2019 she visited Nepal and met felters in Kathmandu. She began making sketches herself to see how they would look in felt. That's how she fell in love with the material. A few months later, she and the felters began working together. Since then, she has been offering the felt goods in her own shop and in other stores. BeYoona works with FairTrade - the felters receive a fair daily or piecework wage. Working conditions in Nepal have improved enormously in recent years. BeYoona visits the workshops herself and keeps production small-scale and personal.
