Description

The impoverished Vincent van Gogh wanted to fulfill a dream in Arles: a Atelier of the South, where artists live and work together. But no one wanted to help him. Only Paul Gauguin agreed, after much hesitation. Van Gogh's brother Theo paid Gauguin's travel expenses and a monthly allowance. Vincent felt deeply indebted to Theo. At the same time he wanted to impress Gauguin. That's why he painted numerous pictures like a madman in a short space of time, including the well-known sunflower pictures. Before Gauguin's arrival, van Gogh was said to be very exhausted. It didn't help: he and Gauguin had numerous conflicts – one of which ended with van Gogh losing an ear. How exactly is still not clear to this day.

This little anecdote shows very well the tragedy of van Gogh's life. Luck was never on his side, but he also got in his own way. This high-quality A4 art print on textured paper from the GF Smith brand honors his life's achievements.

The colorful art print is ideal for all art and cat enthusiasts who want to enhance their living room or bedroom wall.

The high-quality art print (A4) is from Niaski signed and printed with a white border on textured Accent Calisto paper from British brand GF Smith. It's the perfect gift for cat lovers – you really can't go wrong here.
